Cybersecurity for Business
Throughout his FBI career, John investigated cybercrime, including hackers, ransomware attacks, cyber fraud, and online predators, for which he worked closely with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. John leveraged his cyber knowledge to educate others, such as new agents undergoing training at the FBI Academy, senior law enforcement officers from throughout the US attending the FBI National Academy, and foreign police personnel receiving training through the International Law Enforcement Academy in Budapest, Hungary. He is the author of Information Governance and Security: Protecting and Managing Your Company's Proprietary Information and WTF: Why Teens Fail – What to Fix, a guide to keeping children safe online and in the physical world.
John is a keynote speaker on cybersecurity, presenting to hundreds of business conferences, including accountants, auto and truck associations, dental, financial, healthcare, housing, legal, municipal leagues, supply chain companies, real estate, the transportation industry, and many others. He has also provided in-house cyber security training to CPAs, law firms, and medical practices. Through his presentations, John offers insights on the latest cyber threats to business and actionable information on how to protect against becoming the next victim.
